Congratulations on commencing your employment with Catholic Education! To help get you started, please have a look through the following guides. You will require the information sent to you from Payroll that contained your username, email address, and employee number. Step 1 - Setting a password Once your contract commences an account will be created for you. To access it you will need to have the mobile phone that is recorded on your application. You will require the information sent to you from Payroll that contained your username, email address, and employee number to complete this step. MyAccount - Set initial password or reset a forgotten password. Step 2 - Configuring MFA It is one of our primary duties to ensure Staff and Student data is secure. To this end there are many systems within the Catholic network that will require the use of Multi Factor Authentication. Please follow this guide to setup MFA on your choice of mobile device. Multi Factor Authentication - iPhone Set up instructions Multi Factor Authentication - Android Set up instructions Step 3 - Employee Self Service Our Employee Self Service portal is used to manage all aspects related to reimbursement, time and claims. MFA is required to be setup before accessing ESS. Please check your personal information, availability and preferences for working locations are correct. You will require the information sent to you from Payroll that contained your username, email address, and employee number to complete this step. Once you have access to your emails the same account is used for Teams access. MyAccount - Set initial password or reset a forgotten password
Purpose: The purpose of this article is to guide staff through setting an initial password or resetting a forgotten password. What you need: Have access to a device with an internet connection. Your Catholic Education username. Ability to receive an SMS to the phone number registered with payroll. Password Requirements: Your new password must be at least 10 characters which contain at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, one numeric digit, and one special character. You are also not able to use any of your last 5 Passwords. Instructions: 1. Browse to https://myaccount.cg.catholic.edu.au. 2. Select Reset Password in the top left of the screen. 3. Enter in your Username (firstname.lastname) and enter the Security Code as requested then select Send Request. 4. Check for an SMS on your mobile. You will receive a 6-digit code. 5. Enter the 6-digit code sent to your mobile into the Token field then select Verify. 6. Enter a new password complying with the password policy outlined above. Re-enter the password then select Save. 7. Your password has now been changed. Note: If you experience any error/failure messages with your username or new password, please contact the Service Desk on 1300 232 448 for further assistance.

Multi Factor Authentication - iPhone Set up instructions
Purpose: The purpose of this article is to guide staff through setting up your Muliti Factor Authentication for an iPhone device. Multi-Factor Authentication is the second step to verify your identity when you sign into CECG ICT Provided Systems and Services. It prevents anyone, besides you from gaining access to your account, even if your password is stolen. It's easier than you think for someone to steal your password. Things that can put you at risk of having your password stolen are: Using the same password for other sites or services. People watching you type it in. Sharing your password with others. Downloading malicious software and content. Clicking on bad links in email messages. Using a strong password in conjunction with Multi-Factor Authentication prevents malicious access to your account and personal information and protects CECG data. What you need: Have access to a device with an internet connection. Your Catholic Education username. Your Catholic Education Password. Mobile phone. Ability to receive an SMS to the phone number registered with payroll. Instructions: 1. Open the App Store on your mobile device. 2. Search for Okta Verify and press "GET" 3. Once downloaded you can open the application. 4. Click "Get Started" and on the following screen click "Next" 5. Select "Add Account" 6. Select "Organization" 7. Select "Yes ready to Scan" 8. Allow Okta verify to access your camera by selecting "OK" 9. In your web browser go to mfa.cg.catholic.edu.au 10.Log into the CEnet portal with your username and password and select "Sign in" 11. If you have already logged in you will go straight to the MFA selection screen 12. Click “Setup” under Okta Verify 13. Click on the iPhone Tickbox and then click Next 14. On your iPhone open Okta Verify App and scan the QR code on the MFA set up from your computer screen. 15. Select "Allow notifications" 16. Click “Done" 17. Click on "Finish" 18. You will now be prompted to verify your MFA. Tick the box next to “Do not challenge me on this device again” and then click "Send Push" 19. On your iPhone you will be prompted to confirm your sign in. Select “Yes, It’s Me” and you will be logged in

Ability to receive an SMS to the phone number registered with payroll. Instructions: Okta Verify- Download Okta Verify on Android On your device, go to the Apps section. Select Google Play Store Google Play. 1. Search for Okta Verify and select the first option which will have the following icon: 2. Select install and this will install the application on your device. 3.Once the installation has finished press open Logging in for the first time: 1. In your web browser go to mfa.cg.catholic.edu.au 2. Log into the CEnet portal with your username and password 3. Select “Setup” under Okta Verify 4. Select the Android option and then click Next 5. Now go to your Mobile Phone with the Okta Verify App open and select “Add Account" 6. Now select Next 7. Select Get Started 8. Select account type Organisation 9. The next screen will then appear and select Yes ready to Scan 10. With your device scan the QR code on the MFA Setup page on your laptop 11. Select done on your Mobile device, . 12. Then select finish on your computer 13. Select “Enter Code” 14. Enter the Code that is currently shown in your Okta Verify App and click Verify You should then receive the following message that you have successfully set up your MFA

Multi Factor Authentication - SMS Set up instructions
Note: This MFA option can only be approved through a School Principal or PIL Representative and the CIO of ICT (Rowan Dollar). The purpose of this article is to guide staff through setting up SMS notifications for MFA verify. Multi-Factor Authentication is the second step to verify your identity when you sign into CECG ICT Provided Systems and Services. It prevents anyone besides you from gaining access to your account, even if your password is stolen. It's easier than you think for someone to steal your password. Things that can put you at risk of having your password stolen are: Using the same password for other sites or services. People watching you type it in. Sharing your password with others. Downloading malicious software and content. Clicking on bad links in email messages. Using a strong password in conjunction with Multi-Factor Authentication prevents malicious access to your account and personal information and protects CECG data. What you need: Have access to a device with an internet connection. Your Catholic Education username. Ability to receive an SMS to the phone number registered with payroll. Instructions: 1. In your web browser go to mfa.cg.catholic.edu.au 2. Log into the CEnet portal with your username and password 3. The following screen will ask you to set up SMS Authentication. Select Configure Factor 4. In the dropdown on the screen select Australia 5. Then enter your mobile number 6. Select Send Code 7. You will receive an SMS with a Verification Code. Enter this in the box and select Verify 8.The next time you log in you will be prompted to Enter a code. Before clicking “Send Code” select the tickbox next to “Do not challenge me on this device again” 9. Enter the code as before and then select “Verify”

ESS - Add a Mobile Phone number to ESS
Purpose: The purpose of this article is to guide staff through adding a mobile number to ESS for use in MyAccount. What you need: Have access to a device with an internet connection. Your Catholic Education username. Your Catholic Education password for ESS. You must already have access to ESS, if you do not contact Payroll via email at Payroll@cg.catholic.edu.au Ability to receive an SMS to the phone number registered with payroll. Instructions: Before you can reset your password you will need to ensure you have a mobile phone number recorded in ESS. Use your web browser to log into ess.cg.catholic.edu.au 1. Enter your surname and first name to sign into ESS 2. Once logged in click on your "Personal Details" tab located in the top right hand corner 3. Click on the “Contact” tab and then on the right-hand side there are the Mobile fields. 4. Enter your mobile number(s) into the field(s) that suits you best, and click on Update 5. Once updated you still see the below confirmation message that your details have been successfully updated

Email - How to log into Webmail
Purpose: The purpose of this article is to guide staff through access their corporate e-mail account via Outlook web mail. What you need: A valid Catholic Education username, e-mail address and password. Access to multifactor authentication application or tool. Okta Verify, Microsoft Authenticator, Biometric authenticator or SMS. Have access to the internet will an up-to-date web browser. Microsoft Edge is recommended. Other Requirements: Nil Instructions: 1. Open a web browser such as Microsoft Edge. 2. In the address bar, enter outlook.office.com 3. Enter your full Catholic Education e-mail and select Next. 4. Enter your username and password and select Sign in. Note: You do not need to enter your full e-mail address. 5. If prompted, Select the authenticator option you want to use. 6. Authorise the login by confirming on the device or entering the 6 digit code. 7. Select an appropriate option if to stay signed in. If you share this computer or mobile device you should select No on this option. 8. Your mailbox will now appear. You have successfully logged into your Catholic Education E-mail via the web mail client.

Email - How to log into Microsoft Outlook Desktop Application
The purpose of this article is to guide staff through the login steps for accessing Outlook Office Emails. Microsoft Outlook is an application used to send and receive Emails, access your Calendar and store your Email contact list. This instruction will walk you through the process of configuring your Outlook account via the Application. What you need: Have access to a device with an internet connection. Your Catholic Education username. Your Catholic Education password. Ability to receive an SMS to the phone number registered with payroll. Instructions: The following steps will assist you to sign into Outlook. 1.Open the start menu in the bottom left-hand corner, Outlook will be in the selection of apps in right hand side of the menu. Select the Outlook icon. 2. On your domain managed device, it will automatically fill in your email address select “Connect” 3. Outlook will then start setting Up your account 4. You will be prompted to enter your domain credentials, username and password and select sign in 5. Select ok 6. Select Done 7. The process is now complete. Untick the box for “set up Outlook Mobile on my phone too” and click OK. 8. Outlook will now open and download your emails. 9. At this point you may be prompted to sign in to set up office. Select “Sign In” 10. Type in your full school email firstname.lastname@cg.catholic.edu.au then select Next 11. You will then be prompted to log in again, Enter your username and password 12. Select OK

Teams - Accessing Microsoft teams via web browser
Purpose: The purpose of this article is to guide staff through setting up installing and using Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams is a chat-based collaboration tool that provides global, remote and dispersed teams with the ability to work together and share information via a common space. Microsoft Teams includes features to facilitate document collaboration, one-on-one chat, team chat and more. This instruction walks you through how to access Microsoft Teams through a web browser. What you need: Have access to a device with an internet connection. Your Catholic Education username. You Catholic Education password. Ability to receive an SMS to the phone number registered with payroll and your Okta App. Instructions: For the best experience in using MS Teams we recommend installing and using the full MS Teams App. on your PC or Mac. Alternatively, if you are using a Chromebook you can access MS Teams from a Chrome browser window. 1. Open a web browser and go tohttps://teams.microsoft.com/ 2. Sign into Microsoft with your CE email address (if prompted select Work or School Account). 3. Select the Next button. 4. Enter your Username and Password. 5. Click on the Sign in button. 6. If prompted, select Stay signed in. 7. Microsoft Teams will now load and establish your workplace environment 8. If it is there, click on Microsoft Teams and the Microsoft Teams window will open. 4. If Microsoft Teams is not in your start menu, open a web browser and go to teams.microsoft.com 5. Sign into Microsoft with your CE email address (if prompted select "Work or School Account"). 6. Click on the "Next" button. 7. When asked, enter your username and password. 8. Click on the "Sign in" button. 9. If prompted, select "Stay signed in" You are now ready to use Microsoft Teams. 10. A Microsoft Teams window will now open.
